The complex reconstruction and extension of the stadium “Cair” in Nis (25,000 m²) involves the modernization of three existing ones and the construction of a new western grandstand. Designed to the highest UEFA standards, the stadium has a capacity of 22,200 spectators. In addition to the primary sports function, the facility integrates VIP sectors, a press center and commercial facilities available to citizens independently of matches, with the implementation of state-of-the-art security and access control systems.

Concept

The architectural term is based on “techno-design” that visually unifies the old and new segments of the stadium into a compact whole. The use of modern materials, such as stainless steel mesh, pergolas and perforated sheets, creates a dynamic and transparent membrane of the object. This materialization, in addition to completely covering all the stands, transforms the stadium into a new urban benchmark of Niš, emphasizing its technological superiority and distinctive identity.
