The new building of the music school “Stevan Mokranjac” is designed as a key infrastructure facility in the central city center of Kraljevo, on an area of 5,600 m². The facility is precisely matched to the specific requirements of the investor, providing top-notch conditions for specialized music instruction. Thanks to the flexible organization of internal spaces, the school goes beyond its basic educational function and becomes a training ground for various cultural and social events, thereby positioning itself as the primary gathering center of the creative community.

Concept

The architectural concept rests on the principles of minimalism and contrast, where the dark, monolithic membrane of the object contrasts with the traditional environment, creating a clear visual distance and identity. The facade is defined by the vertical rhythm of the panels and large glass openings that during the evening hours transform the object into a luminous urban lighthouse. Such transparency symbolizes the openness of the institution to the city, while simple geometric lines emphasize discipline and harmony, directly referring to the nature of musical art.
